WEDDING PREP STUDIO — TERMS & CONDITIONS

By completing a booking, you agree to the terms below.

1. Service Overview

Wedding Prep Studio is a home-based professional garment steaming service. All steaming is completed with high-quality equipment and handled with care.

2. Overnight Service

  • We aim to collect garments before 10.00am and return them before 12.00pm the following day, unless you request another date.

  • Delays may occur if garments are not ready at the agreed time or if schedules change.

3. Same-Day Turnaround Service

For clients booking our same-day option:

  • All garments must be ready for collection between 8.00am and 10.00am.

  • We aim to return garments by 3.00pm the same day.

  • Timing is based on the garments matching the details provided at booking.

  • We may not be able to meet the same-day window if items:

    • differ in size or structure from what was booked,

    • require additional steaming due to heavy creasing,

    • include oversized or multi-layer gowns requiring extended service.

We will contact you if extra time or charges are required.

4. Drop-Off Service

  • For next-day completion, garments must be placed in our drop box before 12.00pm.

  • We cannot guarantee next-day readiness for items dropped off after 12.00pm.

  • You may choose a later pickup date if preferred.

5. Pickup & Delivery

Pickup and delivery times are estimates only. Travel delays, weather, and workload may affect timing.

6. Additional Charges

Extra fees may apply for:

  • heavily creased or extra-large garments

  • multi-layer gowns or structured fabrics

  • delicate or specialist materials requiring slower care

  • last-minute or same-day bookings

  • additional pickup/delivery distance

We will discuss any extra charges with you before completion.

7. Fabric Limitations & Damage Disclaimer

We work with a wide range of fabrics including silk, satin, crepe, chiffon, lace, tulle, wool and synthetics.

By booking, you acknowledge that:

  • some fabrics may react unpredictably to steam

  • garments with beading, glue, ageing fibres or pre-existing issues may be more vulnerable

  • Wedding Prep Studio is not liable for shrinkage, beading movement, colour change, water spotting, heat sensitivity, or damage caused by fabric limitations or pre-existing faults

We will contact you before starting if we identify a risk.

8. Pre-Existing Damage

We are not responsible for existing or hidden issues including:

  • loose threads

  • torn seams

  • holes

  • missing beads

  • makeup/tan marks

  • damage that becomes visible only after steaming

Please inform us of any concerns before service.

9. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is required at the time of booking through our online point of sale.

  • Any additional charges (e.g., oversized garments, extra creasing) will be discussed before garment release.

  • Garments will not be returned until all outstanding balances are paid in full.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Cancellations within 24 hours of your appointment are non-refundable.

  • Cancellations more than 24 hours but within 28 days of your appointment will receive a refund minus a 20% cancellation fee.

  • Cancellations more than 28 days prior receive a full refund.

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability.

  • No-shows are charged in full.

11. Uncollected Garments

Garments left uncollected for more than 7 days after the agreed pickup date may incur storage fees.
Garments will not be released until all charges are paid.

12. Liability

To the extent permitted by NZ law:

  • Wedding Prep Studio is not liable for loss, damage, or garment changes due to fabric behaviour, garment construction, or pre-existing issues.

  • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the service.

  • By booking, you agree to indemnify Wedding Prep Studio against claims related to garment condition or fabric reaction.

13. Photography

We may request permission to take non-identifying images for social media or portfolio use.
No photos will be taken or used without your consent.

14. Acceptance

By booking with Wedding Prep Studio, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
